The BioTuning Twin Tank Kit is a complete set of parts that can be used to run a diesel vehicle on natural, unmodified vegetable oil.

The BioTuning Kit is a generic kit that brings together some of the most highly regarded components in a single and complete vehicle conversion kit. The Kit is suitable for many diesel vehicles (eg Bosch VE) straight from the box while for other vehicles (CAV, HDi) it would provide the core of a customised kit.

The BioTuning Kit is made up of the highest quality automotive specification parts throughout. At the heart of The Kit are a Pollak 6 port fuel selector valve a BioTuning brazed plate heat exchanger and a heated fuel filter. All parts which have earned a very strong reputation with vegetable oil conversions.

 

All components in the BioTuning kit are high quality, reliable automotive specification parts with class ‘A’ vegoil materials compliance throughout. In addition to the three active components, the kit includes all fuel hose (SAEJ30R6) and coolant hose (SAEJ20R3), hose connectors and hose clips, switch, wires, fuse holder, indicator LED and fitting guidelines.

 

The Kit can be installed by a competent home mechanic following the supplied guidelines which describe a ‘typical’ installation in detail and present many of the common installation options.

 

The BioTuning kit is a kit of parts for efficient vegoil motoring. In vehicles with less fragile pumps and requirements this is the complete kit. This will include for examplevehicles fitted withinline pump-line injector systems eg, Mercedes Benz prechamber engines (eg W123 W124 etc),axle piston pumps (eg Bosch VE, Zexel, Nippon Denso, Diesel-kiki),unit injectors (eg pumpe duse)

It may also be the complete kit for vehicles fitted withCommon Rail systems (eg, HDi, CDi), although an additional pump and temperature monitoring may be required.

 

The parts in the kit may be used in vehicles with more fragile pumps by designing a customised system to take extra precautions. This should include for example the use of a temperature switch to ensure the temperature at the pump is sufficient for safe switch over to vegoil, the addition of a solenoid valve to ensure that no vegoil is allowed to purge to the diesel tank and the use of a buzzer and relay remind you if you forget to purge. With these precautions the kit can be used at the owners risk invehicles fitted with rotary pumps (eg Lucas CAV, Bosch VP44, Bosch VA), however it may be a safer option to use a Smartveg Kit or to build your own conversion based around the smartveg control module.

Please note: No auxialiary fuel tank is supplied with the kit. This is best obtained independently to suite your vehicle and circumstances and can vary from a small plastic tank from a marine chandlers to a custom built aluminium tank.
